About

Who we are

Lintel is a one-person firm (Thomas Andersen), putting years of building and leading software teams to use, and helping other leaders do the same.

Founder · Lintel

I've spent most of my career building software and leading the teams that build it, and I'm now doing that independently. Lintel is where that goes: a small, deliberately-chosen set of AI-native products, built to last and looked after properly, and a body of advisory work with leaders and teams putting AI to real use. Alongside both, I research, in the open, how AI is reshaping the way organizations work and how leaders lead.

Why Lintel exists

I spent many years building software. Then, not entirely by choice, that stopped. And I found myself with something I hadn't had in a long time: time.

I decided to spend it learning. Not in a classroom, but the way the work actually changes you: building things and watching them break, talking to people across the industry about what they're seeing, listening to more podcasts than I'd care to admit, and running small experiments to find out what genuinely works and what only sounds good.

Somewhere in there I noticed a feeling I think a lot of people share right now: that I'd fallen behind. The pace is dizzying. Tools that didn't exist last year are suddenly the way everything is done. It's easy to feel like the ground is moving faster than you can.

So Lintel is my answer to that. It's where I put what I've learned to use, and where I show what it can do: starting with ThoughtPartner, with the advisory work running alongside, and growing from there. Each thing I build, and each engagement I take on, is both the work and the proof.

I'm not claiming to have it all figured out. I'm a bit further along than I was, and still very much learning in the open.

If something here is useful to you, that's the point. And if I can help you, with a product or just a conversation, I'd like that too.

How I work

Few things, done well

A small, carefully-chosen set of tools, built to last and maintained properly, not shipped and forgotten.

In the open

I share what I learn as I go, and would rather be corrected early than confident and wrong.

On your terms

Private by default, under your control. The software earns its place in your day rather than taking it over.

Proof, not promises

Each product is both the work and the evidence. The research and the building draw on each other.

Mock page. Bio copy and a real portrait are placeholders, pending Thomas's input and a later brand pass.
